The 1 pm ET cutoff
- Before 1 pm ET, Monday to Friday: dispatched the same business day.
- After 1 pm ET, at weekends or on public holidays: dispatched the next business day.
- Tracking is emailed when the parcel leaves.
For the fastest delivery, order before 1 pm ET on a weekday and choose UPS Next Day Air at checkout. Orders placed on Friday after the cutoff leave on Monday.
Is overnight shipping the same as next-day?
Yes. "Overnight" and "next day" both describe UPS Next Day Air: the parcel is dispatched on the day it is ordered (before the cutoff) and delivered on the next business day. Same-day delivery, where the parcel arrives on the day you order, is not offered; same-day dispatch is.
