This policy explains what Direct Bac Water (directbacwater.com) collects when you visit the site or buy from us, why, who else sees it and how long we keep it.
What we collect
- When you order: your name, email address, phone number if given, billing and delivery addresses, the items you buy, and the payment method and status.
- When you create an account: your login details and order history.
- When you contact us: the content of your message and your contact details.
- When you browse: server logs kept by our host, including IP address and browser type, for security; and, where enabled, website analytics (see cookies below).
Why we use it
To process, dispatch and support your order, to answer your questions, to prevent fraud, and to keep the records that tax and accounting rules require. We do not send marketing email unless you ask us to.
Who else sees it
- Our web host, which runs the site and stores its data.
- Shipping carriers (UPS and USPS), which receive your name, delivery address and, where needed, phone number.
- Payment providers. Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay payments are handled by our payment processor, which receives the payment details it needs to take the payment. Zelle payments are made through your bank; we see the payment arrive.
- Google, if analytics is enabled, receives information about how the site is used.
We do not sell or rent personal information.
Cookies
The site uses cookies that are needed for the cart, checkout and account login. We may also use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used; it sets its own cookies and collects information such as pages visited and approximate location. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though the cart and checkout need their cookies to work.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Account details are kept until you ask us to close the account. Other information is deleted when it is no longer needed.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and access to order data is limited to the people who process orders.
Your choices
Email support@directbacwater.com to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to close your account. We reply within 30 days. Records we must keep by law are kept for the period the law requires.
