Direct Bac Water’s 3 mL bacteriostatic water is US-made sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol (9 mg/mL) as a bacteriostatic preservative, supplied in a sealed 3 mL multiple-dose vial. It is the smallest generic vial in the range, for small or occasional use. A single vial costs $6.50, and packs of up to 100 bring the price down to $4.05 a vial.

3 mL vs 10 mL vs 30 mL

A 10 mL vial holds just over three times as much as a 3 mL vial, and a 30 mL vial ten times as much, all with the same 0.9% benzyl alcohol. The 3 mL vial costs more per mL but leaves less unused once opened, so it suits small, occasional draws.
